Random Saturday

I feel like I've been a deadbeat blogger lately, but I promise I'll get get better! I've been sort of down/under the weather these days, but I'll do my best to post more/do more stuff around here that's post-worthy. So for now here's another all-over-the-place, extra random blog post!

I don't think I ever wrote anything about my new bike!  Do you remember the old '70s one I had?  I loved it but it just wasn't practical for Atlanta or for the silly suburbs where I live.  So Drew sold it to a girl in Athens, Georgia (a place that's one-hundreds better for a vintage bike like that) and he got me this vintage-looking but new bike instead.  It's great.  Last weekend we went on a trail called the Silver Comet that's supposedly an old railroad line that goes all the way to Alabama.  I think we only got to Mableton, Georgia.  I was really slow.

Today we ended up at the danceclub mall, like usual. We went there to get a pair of my shoes fixed--I found the perfect black leather oxfords on Ebay and wore them for a week or two, only to have the soles break in half and get all crackly.  I think they might be un-fixable, but we did do some shopping instead and I fell in love with this black bow coat from Anthropologie and a corduroy dress from Urban Outfitters?  Aren't they wonderful?  I'm totally waiting for the sales, though.

Last but certainly not least I bought a perfect little dress from Francesca's 1385 store, and it came in the prettiest packaging, right along with a pillow with a dog on it that looks like Scarlet lying by a boater hat!  I think I almost teared up when I saw it.  The dress is just as good, but it's going to be my birthday dress, so it will be a while 'till it makes its blog debut.

The picture of you riding the bike makes me think of some awesome indie romantic comedy, but maybe that's also because I'm pretty sure that you and Zoey Deschanel were separated at birth. Everything here is so adorable, I wish I had your amazing vintage flair.

I love the bikes! I was in Georgia once, so I know about those suburbs! I just started blogging myself and just made a post about boats (!), so I don't think you should feel bad about bad posts, haha.. Love your blog!

Look at you, all fancy in your pretty dress while riding a bike! I haven't quite mastered the art of 'looking good while biking' yet.

Oh, I love your new bike! I so wish this city was more bicycle friendly. (one of the reasons Savannah attracts me so much) I would love to get one but I'm afraid of getting run over by all the scary drivers here. I hope you find some nice places to ride yours, though!

Aww, that was so thoughtful of her to send you that pillow.

Oh pretty packaging always seems to make everything about a hundred times better doesn't it? I love your bike as well! I wish I could ride my vintage Schwinn more often but I conveniently live next to a busy highway/ginormous hill. . .Anyway, you look simply darling on that bike.

I hope you're feeling better. Be kind to yourself.
Riding my bike always lifts my mood.
I love that bow coat too. Maybe you could pick up one day a week at Anthro. Employees get 40% off on clothing! Guess how I know ;)

Aw shucks...feel better, miss!! I know what you mean--I felt like that last week. I think the best thing to cure it is a good old movie!! And I love those pictures of you on the bike--it's such an incredible bike! Ooh, and I have that corduroy UO dress! It's so, so nice and perfect for the fall! You'd look a-dorable in it!! And the package from Frankie is the nicest!!! The pillow was really, really sweet! Aren't her packages always dream worthy? And I can't wait to see your birthday dress!!!

I love that shirtdress & am so glad to see it popping up in so many pictures. I'm especially into your flat canvas sneakers! They remind me of something Audrey Hepburn would wear while riding her bike. I'm also super excited to see your birthday dress! And kinda excited to bid on one of your Ebay auctions (fingers crossed that I won't just forget like I always do come Thursday.)

I spent the entire summer riding my bike on a trail that used to be a railroad. It was delightful.

Additionally, love the clothes.

I love the picture of you on the bike. I have always wanted a bike like that to ride down into the historical section of my town. It would just seem so dreamy.

I was shopping at H&M and found this dress I had to have. I didn't even try it on! Which is crazy especially since I got it while visiting Italy and couldn't return it in Switzerland where I'm living right now. I couldn't figure out why I wanted it so badly until I got home and saw this post. I bought the same purple floral dress!! Only I got it in blue because I already have 20 purple dresses. I must have been channeling your style vibe while shopping.. yours is by far my favorite fashion blog! Thanks so much for all the inspiration!!
