Jovovich-Hawk for Target . . .

I checked out the Jovovich-Hawk GO collection when I was at Target in Atlanta a few days ago, but I was just coming out of the doctor's office and didn't really feel like taking pictures. Today I felt a little sick and out of it too, but I had to go check out the local Target to see if they had the dress I had been looking for.

It's the little white dress on the far right--I fell in love with it when I saw it in Lucky Magazine, and when I couldn't find it available in a smaller size on Target's website it made me fall in love with it a little more. The Athens Target had the dress in the right size, and I do think it's lovely, but it doesn't fit right for some reason. It's low-cut and looks funny on me--I don't know if it was just made weirdly or if my kind of messed up body's to blame (crooked shoulders from scoliosis and an extra rib from my mom Becky). But if it had a higher neckline it would be perfect and I would have bought it.

The other things I tried on were all right--the star tunic on the left is actually a shirt that I tried on in a size too big to see if it would work as a dress. It didn't. And the middle dress is pretty, but something I could find in a thrift store. Actually a lot of the Jovovich-Hawk dresses were like that, and it's not a bad thing necessarily. I liked that the collection was more dress-heavy than most GO collections. And I haven't been able to track down the high-waisted jeans yet, but once I do they just might be my one Jovovich-Hawk GO collection purchase.

I haven't seen any of the pieces in person yet so it's nice to see actual photos of them (as opposed to the photos on the Target site). They do seem like things I could find at a thrift store. The white dress is super cute but I think you're right - the porportions seem a bit off. I'll have to check out the local Target.

I didn't really like the J-H collection either... it definitely didn't fit right and wasn't too flattering, unforch cuz I really liked the white dress, too.

I am so jealous of all you Americans getting access to these! So cute! Did you see the black lace dress in person? It looked really nice on the website.

you get sick a lot huh?

i think all the dresses look great on you--you have the perfect legs for dresses. sadly, in san francisco, target is far, far away and quite mythical to me.

Omg, i loove that dress, i need to go to Target soon. I really want a romantic, white, frothy dress. That's too bad it doesn't fit right though, but if it wasn't too expensive, you should just buy it and try to get it tailored. (unless you sew).

and I have a question, how do you get your pics to show up so big on your blog? All the templates i use have such tiny pic space (Sweet Obsessions)

I think you would look adorable in a potato sack, but really, I'm with you on finding similar pieces in thrift stores, and they would be unique!

I think the white dress looks quite cute on you actually, but I know we can't tell for sure by just one photo.

I went in expecting to love all of the J-H dresses, but I didn't. I did buy the star tunic and a couple of tops to wear with jeans, but none of the dresses really jumped out at me, which was disappointing because that's what I had my hopes on (as high as they can go for a Target collection -- the fabric quality is still not so good).

Anonymous, what about the one in Daly City?

all of the things were sooooooo off! each collection just keeps getting more disappointing

I bought the turquoisey one in the middle and I love it, but its SO lightweight that it just rides up and blows around without me noticing! Haha. Leggings took care of the fear of being exposed though.

I loved the white one in person but didn't try it on, same with the black lacey one. I'm planning a trip back though to see if they'll fit right on me.

I think the third dress looks lovely on you! It seems very much your style too, but sometimes Target sizing can be un peau dissapointing

*sigh* that`s the only thing that we are missing in downtown toronto...a target. in fact, canada is completely missing out...when i go to the states, they had better beware. i vow to buy. & buy. & buy. -jae
ps. the white dress is really, really cute. slightly off, but maybe if you`re always in motion, nobody will even notice?

I bought that third dress, I loved it from the website and I usually don't wear such light colors. It's my favorite piece from the whole line.

oh my god am I glad that you have at least some physical imperfections - you always seem so flawlessly adorable. ;)
I love the jovovich-hawk collection, but sadly I don´t think target ships to germany. ebay has to help me out on that, I guess.

I think you look good in the white dress, but don't buy it if it doesn't feel good. Also, I didn't know you had an extra rib. That is the coolest thing ever.

I think you look cutest in the first dress, but I'm just too crazy about dots!
